Dan Hecht Chevrolet Toyota is seeking a motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Rental Car Manager / Customer Relations Manager. Key Responsibilities:
Customer Relations Manager Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer concerns, inquiries, and feedback, ensuring prompt and professional resolution.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers by addressing their needs.
- Oversee customer satisfaction surveys and gather feedback to identify areas of improvement in service and sales.
- Coordinate with service, sales, and parts departments to ensure customers’ expectations are met and exceeded.
- Manage customer complaints or issues related to vehicle purchases, service, or repair, working to resolve them efficiently and effectively.
- Ensure the dealership is adhering to high standards of customer service and industry best practices.
- Develop and implement customer retention strategies, including follow-up calls, loyalty programs, and customer appreciation events.
- Train and guide staff on effective customer service practices and resolution techniques.
- Maintain customer records and provide feedback to the management team on service performance and customer satisfaction trends.
- Other duties as assigned.
Rental Car Manager Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of a rental fleet of 20 vehicles, ensuring availability, proper rentals, returns, and maintenance scheduling.
- Collaborate with local businesses to build partnerships and grow commercial accounts.
- Proactively reach out to commercial accounts to expand the rental business.
- Monitor and manage fleet inventory, ensuring vehicles are clean, fueled, licensed, and insured, so they are always rental-ready.
- File and manage insurance claims for accidents involving rental vehicles.
- Handle direct billing to insurance companies for rental insurance claims.
- Maintain accurate records of rental customer information.
- Enter new fleet vehicles and adjust rental pricing within the Point-of-Sale (POS) system.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in customer service or relations, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with customers and team members.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism and empathy.
- Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize customer needs.
- Experience with fleet management or logistics is a plus.
- Experience with CRM and Microsoft Office is a plus.
