Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of construction sites by clearing debris and setting up necessary equipment.
- Carry out manual labor tasks such as digging, lifting, and moving materials as directed by supervisors.
- Operate basic hand tools and power tools under supervision while adhering to safety protocols.
- Follow instructions from foremen and other skilled tradespeople to complete assigned tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring that all tools and materials are stored properly.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge of construction practices.
- Comply with all safety regulations and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
Requirements
- Previous experience in construction or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and standing for extended periods.
- Familiarity with basic hand tools and power tools is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Willingness to learn new skills and take on various tasks as needed.
