Summary / Objective :

The Lot Attendant is responsible for performing a variety of duties as it relates to the maintenance and lot presentation of vehicles.

Essential Job Functions :

  • Washing / cleaning the interior and exterior of all new and used vehicles to ensure they look good for potential customers.
  • Simple, basic vehicle maintenance notice and report to service.
  • Snow and / or debris removal from cars and lot as necessary.
  • Rearrange vehicles for sales or lot reorganization.
  • Various other duties as assigned by management.

  • Language Ability - Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
  • Math Ability - Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
  • Reasoning Ability - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Preferred Education / Experience :

    High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to three months related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather) and work near moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to work in high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles and outdoor weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme cold (non-weather); extreme heat (non-weather); risk of electrical shock and vibration.

    The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to talk or hear.
