Senior -Level Microsoft Exchange Engineer

The Microsoft Exchange Engineer is responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Microsoft Exchange environments, ensuring secure and reliable messaging solutions in compliance with DIA and federal cybersecurity standards.
Detailed Description :
The Exchange Engineer will install, configure, and manage Microsoft Exchange Server, ensuring optimal performance, security, and compliance within enterprise IT environments. Responsibilities include designing Exchange architectures, managing mail flow, troubleshooting issues, and implementing security controls to protect email communications. The engineer will also collaborate with IT teams to integrate Exchange with Active Directory, Office 365, and other enterprise applications, ensuring seamless operations and compliance with Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Intelligence Community (IC) security requirements.
Key Responsibilities :
- Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft Exchange Server (on-premises and hybrid).
- Design and implement Exchange email architectures, including DAGs, transport rules, and security policies.
- Manage email security, compliance policies, and data loss prevention (DLP).
- Troubleshoot and resolve Exchange-related issues, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Integrate Exchange with Active Directory, Azure AD, and Office 365 services.
- Implement and maintain email encryption, SPF / DKIM / DMARC, and other security measures.
- Conduct system upgrades, patching, and performance tuning.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure compliance with DIA cybersecurity policies, RMF, and federal security standards.
