Dan Williams Company is a Heavy Highway Construction company with offices in Austin and El Paso, Texas. Projects primarily consist of heavy highway construction with activities including earthwork, SWPPP, erosion control, bridges, clearing, access roads, and storm sewer.
Job Description:
Dan Williams Company is currently seeking qualified candidates for Survey Manager in our Central Texas location, specifically San Antonio area.
Responsibilities:
· Field work - Perform tasks such as establishing horizontal and vertical control, topographic surveying, and construction staking alignment staking and stationing. They may also establish lines and grades for construction. Provide model & data to field survey crews.
· Data collection - Collect field data, take notes, record observations, and site calibrations. They may also perform GPS observations and field topography.
· Data analysis - Compute measurements and interpret data to determine positions, shapes, and elevations. They may also perform data analysis and calculations under the supervision of a Project Manager.
· Office work - Post-process data, create models (DTM) for takeoffs, and maintain quality control. Provide exhibits to illustrate conflicts with design and plan sets.
· Planning - Participate in pre-survey planning with survey managers / project managers/superintendents.
· Quality control- Ensure that all survey work meets project requirements, city / TXDOT standards.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Survey Manager.
- Previous experience in survey management or other related fields.
- Experience with Drone Technology to include GPS and Lidar software and Photogrammetry.
- Need organizational, communication, problem-solving and time-management skills
- Familiarity with different areas of construction as well as federal, state and local workplace safety.
- Deadline and detail oriented.
- Supply own work vehicle

Pay: $1,600.00 - $1,923.00 per week
