Designer – Intimate Apparel (Bras Focus)
Location: New York City (4 days in-office, 1 day remote)
Type: Full-Time | 40 hours/week
About Us:
Dana-co, a leading name in luxury intimate apparel, is seeking a seasoned Designer with a strong focus on bra design to join our New York City-based team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead innovative product creation that upholds our brand’s refined aesthetic, functionality, and quality standards.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead the design and development of bras from initial concept through final production
- Translate trend research and market insights into brand-right collections
- Partner closely with merchandising, technical design, and product development teams to ensure design intent, fit, and feasibility
- Manage multiple projects across the development calendar with precision
- Oversee fittings, execute design refinements, and ensure consistency across size ranges
- Guide and mentor junior team members and support cross-functional collaboration
Who You Are:
- 6 years of experience in lingerie design, with deep expertise in bra construction and design
- Strong portfolio demonstrating elevated taste level, innovation, and technical knowledge
- In-depth understanding of garment construction, fabrications, and production feasibility
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud; strong working knowledge of Excel and familiarity with Lectra
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional relationships
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design
