Senior Scheduler

Job Purpose

Responsible for coordinating the scheduling and purchasing functions to maximize machine utilization and efficiency and drive customer past dues to acceptable levels set by the plant. Maintain excellent customer relations, provide reports, analysis, and action plans of open orders and present effectively to a wide audience.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Maintain production schedules on a daily basis to meet Customer demand.
• Monitor inventory turns and ensures that the FIFO methods are being followed.
• Coordinate inventory to meet production schedule, while maintaining levels at or below Facility plan.
• Ensure the customer demand requirements are maintained and any issues are communicated to the customer ensuring that customer satisfaction is maintained.
• Coordinate and record all expedite shipments to the customer ensuring customer specific logistics are utilized.
• Meet with Production daily to review and put plans in place to avoid potential problems.
• Review dunnage requirements daily ensuring the correct amount and type is available for use by manufacturing.
• Perform supplier visits as required.
• Create and maintain action plans to address past due and vehicle off road conditions.
• Work with plant personnel to improve conditions that will improve customer delivery and remove bottlenecks.
• Ability to learn other commodities or planning decks and fill in for absences.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of SAP.
• Good understanding of MRP and JIT systems.
• Experience scheduling manufacturing
• Experience scheduling transportation load sheets, shuttle logistics as well as general OTR modal transportation.
• Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes.
• Good understanding dunnage inventory, shipping, and receiving processes.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Good leadership, problem solving, decision making, teamwork and organizational skills
