Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense medications accurately under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Utilize aseptic technique for compounding sterile products, including IV infusions.
- Assist in medication administration for patients in acute care and critical care settings.
- Maintain accurate patient records and medication profiles, ensuring all information is up to date.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care.
- Educate patients on proper medication usage and potential side effects.
- Ensure compliance with all pharmacy laws, regulations, and policies.
- Manage inventory levels of medications and supplies, including ordering and restocking as necessary.
- Perform quality control checks on medications and equipment to ensure safety standards are met.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a pharmacy technician training program is preferred.
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to pharmacy practice.
- Experience in a hospital pharmacy setting is an advantage.
- Proficiency in medication administration techniques, including IV infusion processes.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare team members.

Pay: $18.86 - $22.00 per hour
