The Fabrication Technician CL2 position involves executing various tasks for product manufacturing. Responsibilities include fabricating parts, setting up, and operating forming, slitting, punching, and testing machinery used for producing solids and metal media elements. You'll be actively participating in continuous improvement and complying with all health and safety protocols. The role presents opportunities to master different machines and processes.
Located within the Porous Metal Filtration department in Cortland, NY, this position covers either the 2nd or 3rd shift.
Key responsibilities include:
- Operate punch press and shearing equipment effectively.
- Master the setup and operation of drill presses, shears, rolls, brake presses, and punch presses with supporting equipment.
- Understand blueprints and layout details accurately based on instructions.
- Coordinate the movement of materials and fulfill paperwork requirements efficiently.
Key qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Blueprint reading skills required.
- 18 months of relevant fabrication experience, including proficiency with punch press machines.
