In the role of Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic at Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, you'll shoulder the responsibility of executing all standard process equipment maintenance and repairs, delivering remarkable customer service and support to our on-site team and manufacturing operations. This position awaits you at the Microbiology Operating Company in West Sacramento, where you'll be stationed on-site. You will be a vital member of the Equipment Maintenance Team, under the guidance of the Sr. Manager of Engineering, Maintenance & Facilities. Your mission: preserve the functionality of manufacturing equipment, manage spare parts inventory, and assist with both routine and urgent work requests. **Opportunities You'll Encounter:**
- Troubleshoot, diagnose/repair, and sustain process equipment lines like printing, filling, drying, packaging, glass washing, and autoclaving with safety and competence.
- Engage in and execute emergency and non-emergency repairs, schedule preventive maintenance tasks, organize spare parts, fabricate components, and complete assigned work orders promptly.
- Participate in diverse tasks ranging from routine maintenance to opening/closing work requests, fulfilling work order documentation, completing necessary training, engaging in Kaizen events, and promptly addressing assigned work requests.
**Key Qualifications:**
- HS diploma or equivalent is essential. Certifications in Electrical, Mechanical, Welding, or other pertinent skills are advantageous.
- 2-5 years of flourishing experience as a Maintenance Technician/Mechanic within a manufacturing/production sphere.
- Proven competency in electrical/mechanical troubleshooting and repair is vital. Ensure safe and efficient troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of manufacturing process equipment. Mastery of basic hand tools and equipment like mills, lathes, drill presses, and welding equipment may be necessary.
**Preferred Expertise Includes:**
- Experience within Manufacturing/Production settings, particularly in medical device manufacturing or other FDA-regulated domains.
- Adeptness in computer usage for email correspondence, work order management, timekeeping, and scoring proficiency in computerized work order and PM systems (CMMS).
- Welding and metal parts fabrication proficiency.
