Key Skills We’re Looking For in a Residential HVAC Service Technician:
- Expertise in the diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of residential forced air heating and cooling systems, as well as hot water and steam heating systems.
- Proficient in the diagnosis, repair, and installation of residential Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) products.
- Experience in replacing HVAC home controls.
- Skilled in water heater replacement and diagnosis.
- Ability to contribute HVAC expertise to cross-division projects.
- Act as an HVAC safety consultant and maintain a focus on jobsite safety.
- Strong commitment to adhering to local and national codes when performing work.
- Serve as a customer liaison and consultant on new products and project planning.
- Experience in training new employees on company policies and procedures.
- Commitment to ongoing training and professional development.
- Ability to read schematics and interpret manufacturer specifications.
