Non-acute care is offered through various affiliates,Summary of Job Purpose : perform supportive duties in Infusion and assist nursing staff in the treatment of patients.Population served based on scope of services in the department.Essential Job Responsibilities :
- Assists the nurse with admissions and discharges of patients.
- Functions as technical support in all aspects of endoscopy and minor procedures.
- Cleans and disinfects endoscopes per hospital policy.
- Collects and labels specimens per hospital policy.
- Responds to patent care needs and provides care and assistance.
- Orders and restocks supplies and materials as needed.
- Maintains a safe and clean environment utilizing appropriate infection control techniques.
- Participates in data collection for PI and statistics.
- Assists in the patient call back process.
- Inputs orders and charges into the computer.
- Follows all time and attendance policies.
- Displays analytical and basic problem solving skills. Communicates problems to manager as appropriate.
