Nuvance Health has a network of convenient hospital and outpatient locations - Danbury Hospital, New Milford Hospital, Norwalk Hospital and Sharon Hospital in Connecticut, and Northern Dutchess Hospital, Putnam Hospital Center and Vassar Brothers Medical Center in New York - plus multiple primary and specialty care physician practices locations, including The Heart Center, a leading provider of cardiology care, and two urgent care offices. Non-acute care is offered through various affiliates, including the Thompson House for rehabilitation and skilled nursing services, and the Home Care organizations.
Summary
The purpose of the PGY-2 Resident Position is to provide medical school graduates with their second year of training in the Nuvance residency program of their choosing by the National Residency Match Program (NRMP) MATCH Process. Residents are expected to have an adult learner mentality, a devotion to lifelong learning, and a passion for delivery of excellent care to the population served based on scope of services in the department.
This position is applicable only to those Residents who have been formally accepted to our graduate medical education programs for the 2023-2024 academic year.
