Assistant Dance Teacher/ Receptionist

Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Assistant Dance Instructor to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various dance styles, particularly ballet, and possess the ability to educate and inspire students of all ages. This role requires a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment while promoting creativity and self-expression through dance.

Duties

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to different age groups, including children and adults.
• Teach various dance styles with an emphasis on ballet, ensuring proper techniques and safety practices are followed.
• Manage classroom dynamics effectively, promoting a respectful and inclusive atmosphere for all students.
• Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their skills and confidence.
• Organize performances and recitals, coordinating with students and parents for participation.
• Maintain a clean and safe dance environment, ensuring all equipment is in good condition.
• Collaborate with other instructors to create interdisciplinary programs that may include elements of early childhood education or special education.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in with adult education is a plus.
• Background in early childhood education or special education is preferred.
• Strong skills in lesson planning, classroom management, and the ability to engage students effectively.
• Familiarity with sewing or costume design for performances is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and parents.
• A passion for dance and education, with the ability to inspire others through movement.
