What are the responsibilities and job description for the Process Engineer - MPP position at DANCHEM TECHNOLOGIES?
- Work with the production team to optimize cycle times, yields, throughput, operational effectiveness, and operational efficiency of core products.
- Maintain, streamline, and improve manufacturing procedures and documentation.
- Routinely train and refresh operators on procedures and best practices.
- Create and maintain data, charts, and reports on processes.
- Apply statistical methods to improve processes.
- Assist in the data collection and tracking for plant KPIs.
- Utilize process improvement tools for process improvement problem solving.
- Facilitate problem solving and root cause analysis for safety and quality issues related to the plant.
- Collaborate with the New Product Development (NPD) team to successfully execute customer trials in the plant.
- Work closely with NPD to ensure a successful technology transfer.
- Understand and be the subject matter expert on all equipment in the assigned plant, including reactors, dryers, centrifuges, filter presses, pumps, mills, etc.
- Expertly navigate DCS system.
- Participate in project/product post campaign review to identify successes and opportunities for improvement.
- Work with maintenance to identify and address equipment issues within the plant.
- Build expertise with the process controls for the plant, including the DCS system, assist in troubleshooting systems and control issues.
- Establish and maintain as strong working relationship with customer representatives, execute actions and projects as needed to address customer needs and expectations.
- Manage small capital projects, including: developing project design and scope, soliciting contractor bids, selecting contractors, submitting capital request, and executing projects.
