The ideal General Manager candidate possesses a strong background in restaurant management, catering, and kitchen operations. As the General Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional service, managing staff effectively, keeping the restaurant clean, and maintaining high standards of food quality and safety.
Duties
- Lead and manage daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring efficiency and quality in all aspects of service.
- Oversee shift management, ensuring that all shifts are adequately staffed and that team members are trained to deliver excellent customer service.
- Be available to take calls and handle restaurant issues when not on site.
- Coordinate catering events, managing logistics from planning to execution to ensure client satisfaction.
- Implement food service management practices that comply with health regulations and enhance operational efficiency.
- Manage kitchen operations, including inventory control, food preparation standards, and equipment maintenance.
- Collaborate with our bookkeeper to enforce cash handling procedures and financial reporting.
- Foster a positive work environment by motivating staff, providing feedback, and encouraging professional development.
Qualifications
- Experience in the food industry, particularly in restaurant or catering management roles.
- Strong knowledge of shift management principles and practices.
- Experience in kitchen management with a focus on food safety standards and consistent food preparation.
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures and financial management within a restaurant setting.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team development and performance improvement.
- Effective communication skills to interact with staff, clients, and vendors professionally.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
