Senior Director Supply Chain
Dandelion is on a mission to revolutionize home heating and cooling with cutting-edge geothermal technology. As we scale, we are looking for a strategic and hands-on Director of Operations to drive efficiency in our inventory, distribution, fleet, procurement, and product quality management.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory & Distribution Management
- Optimize inventory and distribution systems using automation, technology, and best practices to reduce lead times, minimize waste, and lower costs.
- Track and report on inventory levels, distribution performance, and cost metrics to leadership.
- Lead Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes to align manufacturing and procurement efforts with internal teams.
Fleet & Warehouse Operations
- Oversee fleet and warehouse teams, ensuring efficient operations, asset utilization, and regular maintenance.
- Implement systems for tracking and managing fleet assets (trucks, drilling rigs, and related equipment).
- Select and manage fleet management software to improve scheduling, maintenance, and performance tracking.
Procurement & Supplier Management
- Develop and execute procurement strategies to reduce costs while maintaining high standards of quality, reliability, and on-time delivery.
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including purchase orders, RFPs, supplier negotiations, and subcontractor relationships.
- Establish and maintain a centralized repository for procurement documentation, including templates, FAQs, and standardized RFP responses.
Product Quality & Warranty Management
- Establish and oversee warranty processes for both in-house and third-party products.
- Track product quality KPIs, hold suppliers accountable, and enforce continuous improvement measures.
- Work closely with Product and Customer Success teams to ensure customer feedback translates into quality improvements.
Qualifications
- 8 years of experience in operations, supply chain, procurement, or inventory management in a HVAC, construction, or other physical-goods product environment.
- Strong background in inventory optimization, fleet management, and supplier negotiations.
- Experience implementing S&OP processes and working cross-functionally with engineering, product, and sales teams.
- Proficiency in ERP, fleet management, and inventory tracking software.
- A strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
