At Dane Street, we are expanding our panel of independent contract reviewers to provide a unique opportunity for supplemental income for physicians. This telework position allows you to work on a per-case basis and customize your caseload according to your schedule.
Job Description
We are seeking Board Certified physicians with an OR state medical license to join our team as Physician Reviewers/Advisors for Independent Medical Exams (IME). As an IME Physician Reviewer, you will utilize your clinical expertise to review insurance appeals, prospective and retrospective claims, and provide interpretations of the medical necessity of services provided by other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review medical records and address client-specific criteria or nationally recognized evidence-based guidelines
- Ensure clear, concise rationale with adequate supporting documentation for each decision
- Identify, critique, and utilize current criteria and resources to support sound decision-making
- Return cases on or before due date and time
- Maintain proper credentialing, licenses, and certifications
- Attend required orientation and training
Requirements:
