What are the responsibilities and job description for the Logistics Clerk / 1st Shift position at Danfoss USA?

The Logistics Clerk will work to support all Logistics functions, including Global Trade Compliance, for operations in the Cleveland Distribution Center. Some key responsibilities will include booking shipments in the Transportation Management System (TMS), booking exports using the Global Trade System (GTS), and scheduling pickups via customer-specific portals.
This is a 1st Shift Position.
Primary Job Responsibilities
- Utilize SAP, TMS, and GTS software to book shipments and exports.
- Coordinate with customers internally and externally to ensure timely delivery of goods and help resolve any issues.
- Schedule pickups and Deliveries via customer-specific portals.
- Coordinate and communicate with carriers as needed for scheduling.
- Comply with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Brokering of exports and ensuring adherence to international trade regulations.
- Support and execute any other duties as assigned by the manager
Required Skills
- Strong Verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness and ability to learn logistics and global trade software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution is required.
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in a manufacturing or distribution role.
- SAP Experience preferred.
- Eligible to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
