We have an immediate opportunity for an Press Operator to join us at our diverse team in Louisville, KY. Operates and maintains setups and function of plate-forming tools by performing the following duties.
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
* Responsible for wearing all required personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintaining a clean, safe and orderly workplace.
* Demonstrates a commitment to maintain a safe, clean and orderly work area. Follows safety regulations and actively contributes to work safety.
* Follows all standard work, control plans, all processes, and quality guidelines.
* Setting up, operating and dismantling of tools to support product mix changes and requirements.
* Demonstrates flexibility in approach and ideas, responds positively and supports changes in procedures, process, technology, responsibility and assignments.
* Maintains cooperative and productive working relationships and communications with all employees, participating effectively as a team member or as a team leader. Encourages and assists in self-improvement.
* Verifies dimension and alignment of pressed parts, and performs surface and physical inspections, visually.
The ideal candidate possesses these skills:
* High school diploma/(GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, drawings, and procedure manuals.
* Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
