What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping and Receiving Operator / 1st Shift position at Danfoss USA?

Performs a wide range of procedures following standard instructions to complete shipping papers, pack, label, address, and load on appropriately selected method of shipping.
This is a 1st Shift position.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive raw materials and other purchased goods, review packing slip for proper quantities and submit for proper documentation processing.
- Deliver goods to proper locations after completion of the receiving process.
- Operate various workstations to process outbound shipments.
- Complete all required transactions in SAP.
- Complete shipping papers correctly, including export documents.
- Recognize unusual conditions and report to appropriate Supervisor and/or Lead.
- Operate forklift, load and unload trucks for best methods of shipment.
- Become cross trained to perform many types of tasks.
- May be required to perform other duties as required by Supervisor.
- Must practice excellent housekeeping skills and maintain equipment.
- Adhere to all Safety procedures.
Job Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic math skills.
- Proficiency with computer inquiries and transactions.
- Work well in teams.
- Must be able to climb, bend, reach, and lift up to 50lbs.
- Must be proficient in using an SAP/ERP system.
