What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping Clerk position at Danfoss USA?

The Shipping Clerk is instrumental in fulfilling OTD promises to Danfoss' customers by coordinating the outbound flow of shipments at the Hidalgo, TX cross-dock and transmitting ASNs on time. Reports directly to the cross-dock Supervisor and provides comprehensive support to the shipping and planning departments in the Reynosa PMC, FC and Queretaro FC sites. The role also requires attentiveness to last minute requests in a fast-paced environment to maintain high customer satisfaction.
- Assists the warehouse staff in maintaining an organized shipping area to enable a fast and efficient outflow of finished goods.
- Constant communication with carriers and forwarders regarding pickup arrangements and/or drop offs at their facilities.
- Supports the shipping teams and/or customers during Premium Freight operations.
- Monitors aging shipments and reports them to their corresponding planners or CSRs
- Detects potential clerical errors or discrepancies in a shipment and takes corrective measures.
- Assists Danfoss' customers with any shipping related inquiries such as shipment status and tracing.
- Provides Packing slips, Commercial invoices, and PODs
- Confirm the final ASN transmission in the MFGpro Database.
- Update ship via and tracing information in the MFGpro Database as needed.
- Retrieve relevant data from MFGpro reports to establish KPIs.
- Basic system issue problem solving in MGFpro.
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Work experience in Logistics preferred
- Must be fluent in English and Spanish
- Customer Service mindset and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft office suite
- Knowledge of documentation processes and record keeping
