Job Description
Danfoss is seeking an enthusiastic Jr. Project Manager to manage our growing portfolio of energy reduction projects through upgraded high-efficiency mechanical systems, energy recovery, and energy control upgrades focused on providing solutions for Danfoss to fully decarbonize our operations by 2030.
The Project Manager has experience managing mechanical system installations or renovations and/or commercial construction projects. A successful Project Manager must have experience in construction methodologies and procedures and be able to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to lead the projects from initiation to close. This person should be knowledgeable about regulations, permits, and project management methodology. The ideal candidate will work well with others, have an analytical mind, great organizational skills, be highly organized and detail-oriented, meet deadlines, and strive to stay within budget.
You will report to the Head of Real Estate, Americas, work together with our global Portfolio office, and play a meaningful role as part of a team of global project management professionals, who are driving value for Danfoss.

- Project integration including management of project execution
- Project scope management including scope planning, definition, verification, and control
- Department administration
- Project time management including activity definition, sequencing, resource estimation, and scheduling
- Project cost management including estimation, budgeting, and control
- Project quality management including planning, assurance, and control
- Project human resource management including planning, acquisition, and development
- Project communications management including planning, distribution, reporting, and stakeholder management
- Project risk management including planning, analysis, and monitoring and control
- Project procurement management including planning and administration
- Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and resolve problems
- Coordinates recruitment or assignment of project personnel
- Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget
- Assigns duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority to project personnel
- Responsible for organizing and establishing the project team, reference group, and stakeholders. Measures team and individual progress
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Mechanical or Construction Engineering
- Minimum 2 years of experience managing commercial construction projects
- Working knowledge of building systems (HVAC, Electrical, Mechanical, Structural, Building Management Systems)
- Demonstrated ability to manage a team of cross-functional team members
- Knowledge of building regulations, permits, and project management methodology is required
- Effective Project Management Leadership experience
- Experience developing investment plans and executing according to plan
- Networking, influencing, negotiating, and collaborating competencies
- Able to travel up to 25% of the time
- Project Management Certification (PMP)
- 2–4 years of construction-related management experience
