- Conduct visual and dimensional inspections on raw materials, in-process products, and finished rubber hoses.
- Monitor curing, extrusions, and reinforcement processes to detect deviations.
- Ensure adherence to ISO9001 and other relevant quality standards.
- Support First Article Inspection (FAI) and PPAP (Production Part Approval Process).
- Investigate non-conforming products, identify root causes using quality problem solving tools, and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain record for inspection, testing, defects, corrective actions, compliance, customer returns, and others.
- Assist in Internal and External audits related to product quality.
- Participate in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen activities to improve quality and production performance.
- Conduct problem solving activities using 5-Why and 8D methodologies.
- Train operators on quality standards and best practices for hose manufacturing.
- Suggest process improvements to enhance durability, consistency, and efficiency.
- Assist the engineering team with product sample preparation and pilot line to modify existing product designs or for new product launches.
- Analyze quality data, defect trends, and process deviations to identify areas for improvement in procedures.
- Update and revise Standard Process and Operating Procedures (SPOPs).
- Communicate procedure changes and quality updates effectively to all teams via emails, one-on-one training, or other internal methods.
Required (Basic) Qualifications
- Associate Degree (two year) in Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field or three (3) years of experience in a Quality role in a Manufacturing environment in lieu of a degree.
- Experience interpreting engineering drawings and standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (Ishikawa(Fishbone), 5 Whys, 8Ds, A3, Root Cause Analysis).
- Computer proficiency in MS Office required.
- Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data analysis.
- Experience with SAP for quality data management and production tracking.
- Experience in rubber manufacturing or industrial hose production.
- Experience with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or similar quality management systems.
- Bachelor’s Degree(four year) in a related field after hiring.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment.
