The Supplier Quality Analyst will be a member of the supplier quality team that will be the point of contact between internal company customers to process complaints that have a source of Van Wert products. They will also process transactions to implement containment and sorts in Van Wert for defects of supplier origin. This position will be acutely involved in communications and SAP transactions that direct material and corrective actions between the suppliers and the Van Wert plant. They will also direct customer and supplier communications to the appropriate positions for completion of tasks involved with the internal customer complaints and supplier issues. They will be a valuable part of a team approach to problem solving discussions and resolutions.

Job Responsibilities
- Interface with departments quality techs to analyze and validate supplier nonconformities
- Enact and drive immediate containment actions for supplier reported defects
- Process documentation to contain and sort inventory for nonconformities.
- Process and direct nonconformance transactions to our supply base (internal and external)
- Assist in the validation and communication of maintaining material certificates for customers.
- Process, review and update supplier PPAPs
- Liaison with the Customer Quality group for handling of supplier caused customer complaints
- Lead risk based incoming inspection process leveraging input from SQE and supplier defects
- Monitor customer / supplier performance on a daily/weekly basis
Required (basic) qualifications – Education required, minimum number years of specific work experience, and any certifications.
- Experience with ERP systems
- 3 years of experience in manufacturing operations
- Experience in a Quality role in operations
- Experience in the use of computers
- Experience with SAP(ERP) systems
- Certified internal auditor (ISO9001 / IATF16949)
- A degree at an accredited institution
- 8D structured team problem solving methods
- Experience in AIAG PPAP Production Part Approval Process
- Knowledge on engineering drawings & tolerancing, standards & specifications
- Fabrication, machining, and assembly knowledge and experience is preferred.
