Corporate CounselLocation : Boise, IDDepartment : LegalReports to : General CounselPosition : Exempt / SalaryWage : Starting at $90,000 / yearThe Corporate Counsel will assist the General Counsel and other members of the legal team in supporting our business by providing a range of legal services including corporate transactions, commercial transactions, litigation support, employment, real estate, and insurance. This is a non-remote position located at our Boise Headquarters.What You Will Do Manage and respond to in-house legal requests from departments across Scandinavian Designs.Counsel our leaders and teams in strategic and tactical legal, regulatory, and risk management matters.Provide legal support on various types of transactions, including due diligence, negotiation of terms, drafting of documentation, and regulatory filings.Serve as liaison with outside counsel on active litigation and regulatory matters.Review, edit, and draft a variety of contracts and real property agreements.Perform legal research.Work with support staff to ensure that legal calendar is maintained and monitored.Perform other duties and contribute to additional initiatives / projects, as deemed appropriate by the management team.Who You Are 1 year of experience at a law firm preferred and will consider newly licensed attorneys with prior corporate experience.Have an active license to practice law in at least one U.S. state, and able to either be fully licensed in Idaho or able to get an Idaho house counsel license.Strong at and love counseling and working with senior business leaders on a variety of legal issues.Preferred experience in one or more of our core needs : Real estateCorporate and commercial transactionsInsuranceHigh attention to detail and outstanding communication skills.Self-driven and able to manage own tasks.Strong business sense, ability to think strategically, and ability to identify legal issues quickly and with precision.Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.This job operates in a professional office environment.
