Daniel Boone Community Action Agency, Inc. (DBCAA) is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Scheduling Manager!
Position Summary: The Scheduling Manager position is a full-time, salaried position located primarily in our Clay County office and may work in or with any of our transit county offices located in Jackson, Lee, Owsley, and Wolfe Counties as needed. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our transit system, ensuring efficient scheduling and coordination of transportation services. Responsibilities:
· Schedule and coordinate transportation services for Daniel Boone Transit using scheduling software system
· Collaborate with drivers and other team members to optimize routes and ensure timely transportation services
· Answers telephones and screens calls
· Schedules additional rider as necessary
· Immediately report any incidents, accidents, or unsafe conditions
· Monitor driver locations and utilization in order to coordinate transportation and schedules
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of transportation requests, scheduling details, and services
· Communicate effectively with clients, healthcare providers, drivers, and internal staff
· Be courteous with respect to clients, healthcare providers, drivers, staff, and customers
· Monitor and respond to real-time changes in transportation needs, adjust schedules as required
· Work closely with drivers, clients, providers, and managers to address any unexpected issues or changes in the transportation plan
· Assist in developing and implementing efficient scheduling processes to enhance overall program effectiveness
· Collaborate with community partners and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of transportation services
· Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns related to transportation services
· Provide regular vehicle reports, including immediately reporting any and all accidents
· Maintain and adhere to confidentiality and all policies of DBCAA
· Perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Proficient computer skills
- Commitment to community service and the mission of Daniel Boone Community Action Agency
- Minimum of five (5) years driving experience
- Valid Kentucky driver’s license
- Clear driving record
- Clear background check
- Pre-employment and on-going drug testing required
- Must be trainable, pass and maintain certifications in trainings provided by DBCAA such as: Defensive Driving, System Safety and Security Training, Passenger Assistance Techniques, First Aid & CPR, etc.
