Daniel Corpuz Chocolatier is a chocolate shop located in the heart of New York City’s Chinatown from Chef Daniel Corpuz. Its focus is on handcrafted Filipino-American inspired chocolates and confections.
The Opportunity
The Barista will be responsible for facilitating the guest experience at Daniel Corpuz Chocolatier. Ideal candidates will be team oriented and have some coffee/espresso experience and be responsible for providing extraordinary customer service. They will greet guests, ring up customer orders, handle monetary transactions, and assist in retail sales in addition to having full knowledge of the menu and the shop’s products. The Barista will be responsible for the execution of the beverage program at Daniel Corpuz
Requirements

1 years of Coffee or Tea experience in a cafe setting or equivalent

Ability to dial in an espresso machine and grinder

Knowledge of specialty coffee and tea preparations

Milk frothing skills

Ability to stand for extended periods of time

Ability to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 20 pounds

Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays, and variable schedule per the needs of the business

High School diploma or the equivalent required. Associates degree or higher preferred.

Must be able to read and write fluently in English

Basic Math Skills add, subtract, multiply, and divide

Must be able to provide authorization to work in the United States.
