What are the responsibilities and job description for the Valet/Driver - Part Time position at Daniel Island Club?
The Valet/Driver will make the first impression upon our members and guests by extending a warm welcome, providing information about the Club and local area. The Valet/Driver will provide exceptional service, anticipate member needs and manage all requests with a sense of urgency and will maintain a proactive approach to providing solutions.
- Good knowledge of the Charleston and surrounding areas
- Performs all other duties as directed by immediate supervisors.
- Working as a team, effectively communicating with management and co-workers.
- Ensure that member and associates areas are maintained in a safe and secure environment.
- Always being positive, showing enthusiasm, being humble, being thankful, and being respectful to all team members.
VALET
- Work with a sense of urgency to provide outstanding service to our members
- Carefully and respectfully park and retrieve automobiles for our members and guests
- Run to and from parking areas to retrieve vehicles in a timely manner
- Assist with door coverage at the clubs entrance
- Assists with opening of car doors and unloading/loading of luggage to ensure the smooth flow of traffic in the valet area.
- Work outside in all types of weather
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have a valid drivers license and a clean driving history.
- Experience driving in all different weather conditions required.
- Punctuality is essential.
- Must be dependable and available to work within the club on weekends, nights and/or holidays based on business demands.
- Neat, well groomed appearance required at all times.
- Ability to drive a manual transmission a plus.
- Previous experience as a driver for a hospitality or private organization a plus.
- Be able to communicate clearly with members and guests.
- Must have a positive attitude, be self-motivated, polite and energetic.
