Landscape Team Leader

SUMMARY:

This job requires strong problem-solving skills and technical knowledge, with the ability to get results quickly but carefully. You need to lead the work from start to finish. The job involves creating new ideas, systems, and technology, as well as improving older ones. You are expected to find and fix mistakes. Work needs to be done correctly and fast, with a focus on reaching the goal and making sure everyone on the team does their best. Communication should be clear and direct. Decisions are made quickly, but carefully.

Hours: Monday through Friday approximately 8am-5pm, hours may vary occasionally. NO WEEKENDS.

Responsibilities:

• Address clients' questions, comments, and concerns
• Prepare team performance reports
• Manage 2-3 crew members
• Operate and maintain landscaping equipment
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow
• Follow safety rules and company procedure
• Read and understand landscape designs and plans
• Knowledge of plants and proper planting
• Knowledge and ability to maintain landscape beds, shrub and tree pruning, and install new landscape beds
• Knowledge and ability to install hardscapes, landscape lighting, and drainage

Requirements:

• 2 years of experience in landscape and hardscaping
• Ability to operate landscaping equipment (blowers, trimmers, etc.) and heavy equipment (track loader, mini excavator)
• Ability to drive and back up a truck and dump trailer
• Physically fit and able to perform strenuous outdoor tasks
• Ability to work in adverse weather conditions
• Reliable transportation to and from work
• Valid Drivers License
