What are the responsibilities and job description for the Autoclave Supervisor position at Daniels Health?
We are looking to hire an experienced Autoclave Supervisor to help us keep growing. We’re looking for a hardworking and dedicated individual who enjoys being part of the team and helping implement new ideas to move the business forward.
The Autoclave Supervisor will be accountable for managing production workers, facility maintenance, including hiring, training, developing, and ongoing floor support and direction. They are accountable for ensuring the staff follows all work instructions, policies, and procedures including compliance and safety to ensure the best possible quality products are processed and troubleshoot all production issues and seek to resolve all maintenance, quality, efficiency, or service-related issues as they arise.
Working hours for this role will be Monday to Friday 6am - 2.30pm
\n- Daily plant operation, plant maintenance and leadership of shift crew; physically on the floor leading by example
- Quality check smart containers both incoming and outgoing
- Regular quality assurance training provided to staff in line with metrics
- Practical solutions are offered to troubleshoot and problem solve operational inefficiencies
- Monitor plant equipment and make minor repairs when possible
- Stock control, inventory, and ordering are to standard compilation and monitoring of floor production operational metrics to provide analysis and feedback to Plant Managers and/or Plant Supervisors
- Management of specific projects as directed by the Plant Manager or Senior Managers
- Streamlined operations such as process flow mapping, time in motion studies, risk assessments, and other continuous improvement functions are updated and in line with current metrics
- Oversight and maintenance of the regulatory compliance, ISO, and AQIS administration for the site
- Preventive program maintenance is done at the end of each shift
- Training, and developing of all plant floor personnel including but not limited to production associate
- Effective scheduling of employees and tasks to meet deadline
- Maintenance of a “team” relationship between operations and another department
- Coordination of internal communication forums for plant teams is developed and utilize
- Organization of staff and resources are effectively utilized
- Strong team performance is cultivated to achieve equipment delivery on time and to budge
- Complaints escalated appropriately to management
- Assistance with performance annual review
- A motivated, productive, highly professional and focused on internal and external customer care team
- Safety procedures are followed including weekly training of workplace, health and safety
- A facility maintenance and upkeep program is developed and maintained
- All machinery, floor workplaces, and operating areas are free of clutter, debris, or other OSHA hazards
- The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience
- 3 years plant/warehouse leadership experience (or relatable experience)
- Mechanical background
- Familiar with OSHA and similar guidelines
- Experience working in a process driven environment
- Physical Requirements:
- Occasionally working in confined spaces;
- Extensive lifting, walking, bending, and pushing. Must be able to lift up to 55 pounds and push and/or pull carts weighing as much as 300 pounds;
- Occasionally bending, twisting, and turning while lifting weights of less than fifty (50) pounds;
- Standing for extended periods of time.
- The successful candidate will be required to complete a medical exam (including drug screen), police clearance check and reference checks.
