- Food Handling
- Always wears gloves or uses utensils when handling food.

- Thaws all frozen foods in refrigerator.

- Dishing Up

- Accurately records all meals served from dietary during shift.

- Equipment Handling
- Uses good techniques to avoid breakage.
- Is respectful of hospital property.
- Reports mechanical failures or negative conditions.
QUALIFICATIONS
Quantity cooking experience is recommended, but not necessary. Dietary background in diets is recommended, but not necessary. Standard of performance must be attained after a few weeks on the job. Must be able to read and write English, capable of learning to use various equipment, be able to concentrate for long periods of time, have neat appearance and personal cleanliness, be able to follow instructions, and be able to work with people. Work consists of standing on feet for extensive amount of time. Some exposure to minor hazardous conditions: hot equipment, hot food, and loud noise. Work consists of light lifting to heavy lifting is required. Will be required to use various equipment involving the use of some judgement.
