Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead with Vision: You’ll supervise the total on-site effort to ensure the project is constructed in accordance with design, budget, schedule, safety, and quality standards. This includes interfacing with healthcare clients, medical facility representatives, and other contractors to deliver projects that have a direct impact on patient care.
- Implement Excellence: Plan and supervise craft foremen and/or craft activities which includes determining methods of construction, manpower levels, material quantities, equipment, temporary power sources, work schedule and documenting actual hours worked.
- Guide & Mentor: Lead project meetings, provide direction to planning, scheduling, and engineering functions, and mentor and develop field engineers.
- Control & Implement Schedule: Streamline project timelines by planning and supervising craft activities, covering construction methods, manpower, materials, equipment, temporary power, and hours worked. Proactively manage schedules in alignment with project objectives.
- Ensure Safety & Compliance: Safety is paramount, especially in healthcare environments. You’ll ensure that all on-site personnel comply with Danis' safety protocols, healthcare-specific standards, and work rules. Proactively implement and oversee corrective actions as needed.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience You’ll Bring:
- Experience: 7 years of experience in at-risk (self-perform), lump sum, and negotiated CM construction, with healthcare and medical facility projects essential. Additional experience in higher education, corporate/commercial, or life sciences is a plus.
- Project Expertise: Proven track record in leading new construction, renovation, and upfit projects, particularly within healthcare environments. Experience with projects valued between $20M - $50M is highly preferred.
- Process Proficiency: Experience with self-perform work which includes - demolition, structural concrete, rough carpentry, doors/frames/hardware, drywall, ceilings, and division 10 specialties, with a focus on healthcare-related builds.
- Critical Thinking & Problem Solving: Ability to navigate complex challenges, particularly in healthcare settings, and make decisions that ensure project success while adhering to healthcare facility requirements.
Physical Demands:
Working in sterile environments or active hospital settings requires strict adherence to safety and cleanliness protocols. You’ll need to climb and maintain balance on scaffolds and ladders; use your arms and hands to reach for, handle and manipulate objects and materials; Lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds repetitively to meet the physical demands of our industry. Stand or walk, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl for long periods of time. Must have acceptable vision (either naturally or with correction).
