POSITION TYPE: Full-Time Non-Exempt (Hourly)
RATE: $17.00 - $20.00/hour

Job Summary
The Breakout Operator I is responsible for following detailed oral and written work instructions to safely remove bagging material from fabricated parts while maintaining equipment integrity. The Breakout Operator I also prepares tooling surfaces as required to meet customer requirements while maintaining adherence to AS9100, Nadcap, and other industry regulations and standards.
REPORTS TO
The Breakout Operator I directly reports to the Production Supervisor

Minimum Qualifications Required For Position
Education, Training, and/or Experience
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Aerospace manufacturing experience preferred

- Regularly required to stand without support and for extended periods of time
- Regularly required to use eye-hand coordination, repetitive hand movements, manual dexterity, and finger dexterity
- Frequently required to bend, lean, and reach to shoulder level
- Regularly required to lift, push, or pull up to 35 pounds; occasionally up to 50 pounds
- Occasionally required to climb, stoop, crouch, kneel or sit without support
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Hearing level within normal/average range
- Ability to handle hazardous chemicals (e.g., MPK, Frekote, Isoproyl Alcohol) with proper PPE provided by employer

- Ability to use and interpret measurement tools (e.g., calipers, scales, measuring tape) in the English unit of measurement
- Ability to work with composite materials
- Ability to work in a temperature-controlled and shop environment
- Forklift and pallet jack operation
Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Write down material data as required by work order or planning instructions
- Remove bagging material without damaging parts, tools, or equipment
- Clean, sand, and/or tape tooling surfaces
- Part-mark according to work order
- Repair tooling to fill gaps and voids
- Check for leaks on formed tools
- Operate oven for warm debulk
- Transport parts and tooling between departments using carts, a pallet jack, or forklift
- Prepare thermocouple wires for oven/autoclave operation
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Other duties as assigned
