Overview: Danny’s Detail is seeking a bilingual (Spanish/English) HR generalist for an onsite office role. The position will be responsible for the full employee lifecycle-recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations while ensuring compliance with California state labor laws.
Responsibilities:
- Recruitment & Onboarding: Manage job postings, interview scheduling, background checks, and new hire orientations, ensuring all onboarding documents are understood and completed.
Employee Relations & Support:
- Act as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding policies, benefits, and payroll, providing guidance in both English and Spanish.
California Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with federal, California state, and local labor laws, including wage and hour regulations, meal/rest breaks, and mandatory training.
Documentation & Translation:
- Maintain accurate, confidential records in the HRIS; translate official documents, handbook policies, and safety materials into Spanish.
Performance & Payroll Support:
- Assist with performance management processes and support semi-monthly payroll processing.
Required Qualifications:
- Fluency: Full proficiency in English and Spanish (written and spoken)
- Experience: 2-5 years of Generalist experience, preferably in California
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business or related field
- Knowledge: Strong familiarity with California labor laws and HRIS systems (ADP)
Preferred Qualifications:
- SHRM-CP or PHRca certification
- Experience in high-volume, hourly hiring environments
