Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our dynamic home health care team at our office in Napa, CA. In this leadership role, you will oversee clinical operations, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and support staff development. This position requires a candidate who is willing and able to go into the field to provide direct patient care when necessary, ensuring the highest standard of service for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the clinical team, including nurses, therapists, and other care providers.
- Conduct field visits as needed to provide direct patient care, assess staff performance, and ensure quality care delivery.
- Develop, implement, and monitor clinical policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state, federal, and agency standards.
- Lead quality assurance initiatives to continuously improve patient outcomes.
- Train, mentor, and support clinical staff, fostering professional growth and collaboration.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop strategic goals and ensure operational efficiency.
- Act as a resource for clinical staff regarding patient care and clinical protocols.
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan.
- Clinical management experience in home health or a related healthcare field.
- Strong knowledge of home health regulations, including OASIS documentation and Medicare guidelines.
- Willingness to travel locally and provide field support as necessary.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
