Overview
The HSE Advisor/ Specialist II provides health and safety support to the Technical Safety Engineering Team and collaborates closely with Permian Area Operations and Maintenance Teams. This position plays a key role in identifying and maintaining process safety safeguards by overseeing the planning, installation, and documentation of car seals and process safety locks across various unconventional oil and gas facilities, including Central Tank Batteries, Compressor Stations, SWDs, and Satellites. This role also supports project execution, workflow optimization, and data management, while contributing to safety and operational efficiency initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead planning, scoping, cost estimation, scheduling, and tracking of car seal and process safety lock installations.
- Interface extensively with internal teams (Operations, FIM/CDS, Production Specialists) and third-party partners.
- Coordinate timely execution of installations to minimize delays and maintain alignment with safety priorities.
- Determine car seal and lock requirements per facility and manage ordering of required materials.
- Oversee the PSI (Process Safety Information) revision workflow based on installation feedback.
- Provide monthly reports on: Cost expenditures, Facility progress vs. plan and Key stakeholder updates
- Develop and maintain car seal registers for both greenfield and brownfield sites (growth opportunity).
- Support the IFR review cycle during PSI development for brownfield projects.
- Track and manage car seal and lock installation data and maintain digital records.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2–4 years of field experience in oil and gas operations.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and industry regulations.
- Proven project management experience involving coordination across multiple teams and sites
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage workflows, data, and reporting systems.
- Proficiency in safety and process documentation.
- Comfortable coordinating across diverse stakeholders and teams.
