Overview
A Shelf Mechanic is responsible for operating offshore production facilities, testing, calibrating, maintaining, and inspecting equipment, and troubleshooting various mechanical systems and components.
Responsibilities
- Operate offshore production facility in accordance with customer requirements.
- Test, calibrate, maintain, and inspect equipment.
- Perform mandatory paperwork required by customer and government agencies.
- Maintain and troubleshoot turbine compressors, generators, gas/diesel generators, compressors, reciprocating equipment (pumps, compressors, etc.).
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Competencies in computer knowledge.
- Familiarity with Subsea Equipment.
- Organization skills to maintain the platform.
- Excellent interpersonal communications skills in a team environment.
- Safety-oriented.
- Ability to create policies and procedures for maintenance, testing, and inspections of offshore lifeboats.
- Technical mechanical skills.
