Overview
The Power Generation Helper assists with various electrical maintenance and repairs on offshore and land facilities, ensuring all tasks are performed safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Willingness and ability to work a 24/7 callout schedule.
- Work locations include both offshore and land sites.
- Assist Power Generation technicians as needed.
- Possess full knowledge of medium voltage safety.
- Identify and use basic hand tools.
- Perform general housekeeping duties.
- Provide account manager support via phone and email.
- Complete preventative maintenance on department equipment.
- Observe and comply with all safety and project rules.
- Take proper care of test instruments and tools.
- Participate in all safety training and assist in safety procedures such as first aid, CPR, fire drills, and emergency evacuation.
- May be required to travel to worksite via marine or helicopter transport.
- May be required to reside at worksite on a predetermined work schedule.
- Work effectively in a team environment as well as independently without direct supervision.
Qualifications
- Experience with low voltage and generators.
- Valid TWIC card.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Must live within 45 minutes of the shop.
- 1-2 years of previous electrical experience.
- Ability to work overtime and holidays as needed and must be available for callouts as required.
