Overview :
As a Compressor Mechanic, you will be responsible for the operation, surveillance, and troubleshooting of natural gas engines, compressors, and pumps. This includes validating and inputting production and injection data, performing preventative / predictive maintenance, reactive maintenance, and major and minor repairs on equipment.
Responsibilities :
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and overhauls on gas compressors (e.g., reciprocating, centrifugal, and screw compressors) and associated equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and operational issues to minimize downtime.
- Replace, adjust, and align components such as pistons, valves, bearings, and seals.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and longevity.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, P&IDs, and schematics to guide repairs and installations.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations during all maintenance activities.
- Maintain detailed maintenance logs, records, and reports.
- Collaborate with site supervisors, operators, and engineers to address equipment performance issues.
- Assist in startup and shutdown procedures for compressors and related systems.
- Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
