We are seeking a SAP MES Solution Architect OR SAP MFG/Logistics Solution Architect in New Jersey/East Coast preferred candidates are applicable for this position.
The client is looking for an experienced SAP Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) Consultant or Specialist with a strong background in SAP ECC & S/4 HANA, specifically in production planning, shop floor control, inventory management, and logistics. The ideal candidate will have 12 years of experience and Life Sciences industry expertise. They should be capable of configuring, customizing, and implementing SAP MES solutions to optimize manufacturing processes like production scheduling, quality management, and inventory control.
Responsibilities:
- Configure and customize SAP MES and PP modules and/or other MES applications to meet business needs, including MFG, Production Planning, Logistics, Quality Management, Shop Floor Control, Plant Maintenance and Performance Analysis.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into SAP MES solutions.
- Work in conjunction with external systems integrators and vendors to ensure the timely delivery of quality solutions.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including functional specifications, test plans and user manuals.
- Provide end-user training and support to ensure successful adoption of MES solutions.
- Conduct system testing, troubleshooting and performance tuning to optimize system performance and reliability.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in SAP MES technologies and recommend process improvements and enhancements.
- 12 years of SAP ECC & S/4 Hana experience with shop floor control, production planning, inventory management and logistics.
- East coast strong preferred.
- Life Sciences experience is a MUST
- Strong knowledge of SAP Best Practice
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including production scheduling, quality management and inventory control.
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.
- Good knowledge and hands-on experience in handling PLC, HMI (Human-Machine Interface), and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition).
- Proven track record of successfully leading MES implementations, including project planning, system configuration, and user training.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to effectively plan, execute, and control IT initiatives within budget and timeline.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders with the ability to effectively collaborate and influence stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
