Part-time Chef

Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to serve for a private household of 4 people 3 days a week and occasional weekends to prep meals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service management and a flair for creating exceptional dining experiences. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating some menu ideas and executing the menu of the client, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation in a fine dining environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and culinary trends.
• Manage shopping list, assisting with grocery shopping at times for the meals, coordinating to minimize waste.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen.
• Collaborate with catering teams for occasional special events if needed.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area.
• Setting the table with fine dining ware, serving the food and maintaining a clean kitchen post preparation of meals.
• Engage with household members to receive feedback on dishes and enhance their dining experience.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within the food service industry.
• Strong knowledge of catering, kitchen management, and inventory management practices.
• Experience in fine dining establishments is highly desirable.
• Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead kitchen staff effectively.
• Familiarity with bartending practices is a plus, enhancing overall guest experience during service.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required by the household needs.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
