Job Overview:
Danvers Motors, a Ford dealership, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Office Manager with a strong background in the automotive industry. The ideal candidate will have previous dealership experience, familiarity with dealership management systems (DMS) such as Automate, CDK, or Reynolds and Reynolds, and an understanding of basic accounting principles.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage daily office operations to ensure efficiency and compliance.
- Supervise administrative staff and ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time.
- Handle payroll, invoicing, and other accounting-related functions.
- Maintain accurate records, including financial documents, employee records, and customer information.
- Coordinate schedules, meetings, and appointments for staff and management.
- Monitor office supplies and manage inventory to ensure availability.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and local regulations.
- Assist with onboarding and training new employees on office protocols and DMS usage.
- Address and resolve employee and client concerns promptly and professionally.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in the automotive industry is required, ideally at a dealership.
- Familiarity with DMS platforms such as Automate, CDK, or Reynolds and Reynolds is highly beneficial.
- Strong background in accounting; proficiency in handling payroll, invoicing, and financial records.
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting tools (e.g., QuickBooks).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Previous experience in rental car operations or similar roles is a plus.
