Extended School Year - Social Worker

Danvers Public Schools is seeking an Extended School Year - Social Worker for the ESY program. This is a non-benefited, part-time seasonal position for the 2025 summer. This is a Monday-through-Thursday program, running from July 7, 2025, to August 7, 2025
Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Social Worker to join our team during the Extended School Year Program (ESY) for students with disabilities.
The primary focus of this role is to provide social, emotional, and behavioral support to students with various disabilities, ensuring they have the necessary tools and strategies to succeed in an inclusive educational environment.
This temporary position will support students throughout the extended school year, which is designed to prevent regression and promote skill development.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individual and small group counseling sessions to students with disabilities to address emotional, social, and behavioral challenges.
Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including special education teachers, psychologists, speech and language therapists, and occupational therapists, to ensure that students’ social and emotional needs are met as part of their IEP goals.
Complete required documentation, including data collection and progress reports, in a timely and accurate manner.
