Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Assistant to join our childcare family/ team in a nurturing and dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will support the lead teacher in providing high-quality care and education to young children, focusing on their developmental needs and fostering a love for learning. This role involves working closely with toddlers and preschool-aged children, implementing lesson plans, and promoting literacy education while ensuring a safe and engaging classroom atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing daily lesson plans that promote educational growth and development.
- Provide attentive care for toddlers, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the day.
- Support classroom management by maintaining a positive environment conducive to learning.
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that encourage exploration, creativity, and social interaction.
- Foster literacy education through storytelling, circle time, and interactive play.
- Collaborate with the teaching staff to develop strategies for working with children with autism or other developmental challenges.
- Maintain organized classroom materials and resources to facilitate effective learning experiences.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress and daily activities.
Requirements
- Previous experience in childcare or early childhood education is preferred, particularly in a daycare.
- Strong understanding of classroom management techniques and child development principles.
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans tailored to the needs of young learners.
- Experience or knowledge in toddler care is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
- A passion for educating young children and fostering their growth in a supportive environment.
- Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with children.
