What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nursing Instructor position at Danville Community College?
Essential functions:
- Design and delivery of instruction for classes.
- Responsible for student assessment and grading.
- Promotes the mission of the division to which the adjunct faculty belongs.
- Provides timely communication with students, staff and administrators of the college.
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
- At least two years experience in the field of Nursing.
- Ability to interact in an effective and encouraging manner with students individually and in groups.
- Flexible teaching methods to promote learning.
- Demonstrated resourcefulness, initiative, enthusiasm, and a sincere interest in helping students reach their maximum potential.
- Ability to communicate with a diverse community of faculty, staff and students.
- Ability to utilize campus resources including software and college learning management systems.
- Commitment to teaching excellence with an enthusiasm for teaching and commitment to the community college mission.
- Master’s degree in Nursing.
- Three years’ experience in the field of Nursing.
