Reports To : Assistant Superintendent for Instruction
Qualifications :
- A Master's Degree from an accredited college or university.
- Indiana Building Administrator License
- Successful experience as a teacher with an understanding of instructional strategies and best practices for student growth and achievement.
- Demonstrates good, sound judgment and the ability to function in a high-stress environment
- Knowledge of data systems, data analysis, and the formulation of action plans
- Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws regarding education and students
- Proven positive leadership and motivational skills.
- Ability to manage operations and resources effectively
- Skilled in judgment, including the ability to formulate logical conclusions from quality and timely decisions, adaptability, and the ability to prioritize.
- Strong personal attributes in the areas of communication, collaboration, integrity, and being a team player

Provide leadership, organization, and direction to the faculty and staff of the school.Foster genuine trusting relationships with students, staff, families, and the community and empower others to work in the best interest of all students.Recruit, select, develop, and evaluate teaching staff with the competencies needed to implement the school's instructional improvement strategies. Has the instructional knowledge and skill to conduct classroom observations and provide high-quality feedback, create collaborative work opportunities, and work with staff to develop goals for student learning.Work with the school community to articulate a vision of improvement and common goals that are shared by all.Set clear staff and student expectations.Provide appropriate opportunities for the staff to increase curricular and instructional expertise.Monitor and analyze formative, summative, and state assessment results to inform instruction and support PLCs.Supervise the implementation of rules and procedures for student and staff safety. Act as the school site's primary disciplinarian.Participate in parent meetings and conferences and act as an intermediary between parents, teachers, and students to deal with various needs or issues.Plan, organize, and direct the business operations of the school site, including budgets, in accordance with district policies and procedures.Attend and supervise school activities such as programs and extracurricular events.Model professionalism by exhibiting ethical and respectful behavior that is displayed in interactions with stakeholders. Maximize time focused on student learning, use feedback to improve school performance and student achievement, and demonstrate initiative and persistence to achieve school goals and improve performance.Conduct management tasks efficiently and effectively, therefore, maintaining a smooth operation of the facilityPresent curricular and data updates to parents, staff, community members, and school board as needed.Perform such tasks and assume other responsibilities as assigned by the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent.Days / Hours : 260 days per school year
Salary : Salary commensurate with experience
