Our organization, dedicated to providing exceptional services to individuals with disabilities, is seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Manager to join our team. This role plays a key part in maintaining safe, functional, and welcoming homes to our individuals and staff.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- In charge of maintenance and safety.
- Perform light landscaping tasks such as pulling weeds and supporting irrigation systems.
- Conduct and review Safety Checklists in collaboration with the State Director, ensuring compliance with regional and state requirements.
- Provide input to the Safety Committee as needed.
- Contact external contractors, vendors, or personnel for repairs that exceed internal skillsets or training.
- Ensure all necessary safety measures are implemented before performing repairs, such as lock-out/tag-out procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including job details and completion dates, for future reference.
- Collaborate with Management, Finance and Quality Assurance team to coordinate repairs, verify funding availability, and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.
- Assist with and complete safety assessments.
- Complete all required paperwork and electronic documentation to meet company, federal, and state regulatory requirements.
- Carry a company-issued cell phone and respond promptly to emergencies within company guidelines.
- Supervise and act as a back-up to the Property Maintenance Specialist and Vehicle Safety Specialist.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least two (2) years’ experience performing drywall repair, installation, and finishing
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and painting.
- At least two (2) years of supervisory experience
- Experience working with people with disabilities is preferred
Additional Requirements
- Pass a thorough background investigation (per NCPA/VCA) which includes criminal and state investigation upon hire and maintained throughout employment
- Ability to meet state and company driving requirements
- Have a valid driver's license with at least three (3) years of driving experience and meets the company’s safe driver standards
- Must have routine access to personal transportation
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Effective communication skills
- Proficiency with hand and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
- Basic keyboarding and computer skills.
- Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and operation
Special Skills/Training/Certifications
- First aid/ CPR, and SOAR training preferred.
