Title: Product Manager

Reports to: Vice President, Sales & Marketing

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

Salary: Based on experience and previous management skills. Very competitive.

General Responsibilities:

· Manage and distribute clipped veneer inventory to meet customer orders in a timely manner.

· Planning veneer distribution activities based on the orders received from customers via sales team while maintaining a neutral role in distributing the veneer for various orders. Planning and distribution activities should take into consideration of preparing multiple orders at the same time.

· Preparing veneer as per customer specifications with the help of team members of the Product Management to ensure consistency while supplying veneer on a timely manner.

· Continuously learn the changing customer/market specifications for veneer and implement the internal processes to align with the changes in the marketplace.

· Monitor the inventory levels of all NA species including all grades and provide feedback to the VP of Sales & Marketing who could work with Sales Managers and Procurement/Production to make the needed changes to the inflow of goods into finished goods

· Develop the weekly schedule to accommodate all customers, sales staff schedules, and shipments. This includes both showroom and sorting line activities so that we could fulfill all orders timely/promptly and correctly.

· Update the Excess Inventory Report monthly and provide this information to all NA sales staff and Procurement Managers.

· Participate in the biweekly Managers’ meeting and present a report regarding our inventory status, including grades in demand and grades in excess. Also, provide information to the Sales Managers regarding aged inventory.

· Work together with the Warehouse Supervisor to ensure all projects are prioritized properly and assist in managing the employees.

· Manage members of Product Management to plan and meet the veneer needs of our customers.

· Conduct Yearly physical inventory by working with Warehouse Manager, IT, and Accounting

The ability to multitask is vital in this position. Many variables need considered when sorting / preparing orders, responding to requests from sales staff, and completing our weekly schedule.

Preferred:

· Ability to multi-task.

· Ability to manage people and workflow processes.

· Bachelor’s degree is Wood Products or Business is preferred but not required. Candidates with various other majors will also be considered for this position.

· Candidates with equal management experience without a degree will also be considered.

· Experience or knowledge in decorative hardwood veneer.

· Ability to learn and process information to derive a decision are important skills to possess.
