What are the responsibilities and job description for the Weed Sprayer/Grounds position at DAP Construction Management LLC?
DAP Construction Management is a Design Build firm that specializes in the Federal market sector. We are looking to add a licensed spray technician/landscaping laborer to enhance our Grounds Maintenance Team at Luke Air Force Base. MUST HAVE, DO NOT APPLY WITHOUT THE FOLLOWING:
Arizona certified applicators license, driver's license, personal vehicle and ability to pass a back ground check.
Herbicide Applicator Job Description:
Identifies noxious weeds and undesirable vegetation.
Completes work orders by mixing, applying and recording pesticide applications according to applicable laws.
Reviews all chemical labels and SDS sheets for each product in use before application, and complies with all warnings and instructions including clothing and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
Operates application equipment (e.g., Off-road equipment, truck spray rig, back pack sprayer, shovels, weed eaters, etc.).
Is responsible for the mixing and application of herbicides.
Performs routine maintenance of all application equipment and vehicles.
Experience of best weed control practices considering the season, timing and stage of growth for optimal results.
This position will require landscape laborer duties during times when weed control is not necessary. Crew Members perform a variety of landscape maintenance activities.
Landscape Laborer Job Description:
Mow turf with zero turn riding mower. Trim grass around trees, walls, structures, etc. Edge around sidewalks and pavers.
Cut down tree limbs that are posing a danger. Trim trees for general maintenance and aesthetics.
Trim shrubs amd hedges when appropriate. Prune shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth or remove damaged limbs.
Perform minor repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment utilized in grounds keeping.
Rake, mulch, and remove debris on the grounds as needed.
Hours: Monday through Friday, potentially some weekends
